Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Will it damage my car’s interior or leave marks?
- A: No, when used as directed. The mounting hooks are usually coated in soft rubber or plastic, and straps are designed to distribute pressure. It does not require drilling or adhesive. Always ensure the contact points are clean before installation.
- Q: Can it hold heavy items like a cooler or suitcase?
- A: It is primarily designed to contain and prevent sliding of typical trunk cargo like bags and small/medium boxes. It is not a substitute for proper cargo nets or tiedowns for very heavy, dense items. For securing a single heavy item, dedicated straps anchored to tie-down points are recommended.
- Q: Does it block the rearview mirror when installed?
- A: It should be installed at a height that secures your cargo but does not significantly obstruct the driver’s view through the rearview mirror. Most designs are not tall enough to be a major obstruction when installed in the trunk behind the rear seats. Always check your sightlines after installation.
