Company & Product Profile
Expanding beyond wiper blades, NINGBO XINHAI AIDO applies its understanding of winter driving challenges to develop supportive tools. The Heated Ice Scraper project involved electrical engineering for safe, low-voltage heating and material selection for components that withstand thermal cycling and physical stress.
Our quality control includes testing each unit’s heating function, electrical insulation, and mechanical durability to ensure reliability for consumers in harsh winter conditions.
Application Fields
- Personal Vehicle Owners: For daily de-icing of windshields, side windows, and mirrors in winter.
- Fleet Drivers: Taxi, ride-share, and delivery drivers who cannot afford extended vehicle preparation times.
- Parents & Commuters: Individuals seeking a faster, less physically demanding method to clear ice, especially on mornings with freezing rain.
- Emergency Kits: As a valuable component in a vehicle winter survival or emergency kit.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Is it safe to use on my windshield? Will it crack the glass?
- A: Yes, it is safe when used as directed. The heating element warms the ice, not the glass to an extreme temperature differential. The operating temperature of the scraper plate is carefully controlled to be effective on ice but well below levels that could thermally shock automotive glass. Always begin scraping gently after the ice has softened.
- Q: How long does the heating element last?
- A: The PTC heating element has no moving parts and is designed for long-term reliability. With normal use (e.g., 5-10 minutes per day during winter months), it should last for several seasons. The most common point of failure is the cable connection, which we reinforce in our design.
- Q: Can I use it to clear heavy, packed snow?
- A: It is primarily designed for ice. For heavy snow, use the brush side (if equipped) or a dedicated snow brush first to remove the bulk, then use the heated scraper for any remaining ice layer on the glass. Do not use the heating element to melt large volumes of snow, as this is inefficient and may overwhelm the unit.
