- Q: Is the cleaner safe for all types of wheels?
- A: Yes, the acid-free, pH-neutral formula is safe for clear-coated alloy wheels, painted wheels, chrome, and raw aluminum. It will not stain or etch sensitive finishes. Always test in an inconspicuous area first, especially on aftermarket wheels with unknown coatings.
- Q: Why does my tire still look brown after cleaning?
- A: Tire browning is caused by antiozonants migrating to the surface and oxidizing. Our cleaner removes this surface oxidation. For severe, ingrained browning, a higher concentration (less dilution) and more aggressive scrubbing with the sidewall brush may be required. The dressing then restores the black color.
- Q: How long does the tire dressing last?
- A: Durability depends on weather, driving conditions, and product formulation. Our water-based dressing typically lasts through 2-3 washes or 2-4 weeks of normal driving before a noticeable fade. It is designed to wear evenly rather than peeling or turning blotchy.
