- Q: Can I fit a modern “beam blade” rubber into this metal frame?
- A: No. Metal frames require a specific “rubber refill” which is a straight length of rubber with metal claws or backing strips. Flat or beam blade rubbers are a different shape and construction and are not compatible.
- Q: Are these becoming obsolete compared to frameless wipers?
- A: Not obsolete, but serving a different segment.
