- Q: Are frameless wipers more fragile than metal frames?
- A: Not necessarily. The internal steel band is robust. The primary vulnerability is the plastic casing if struck by an object (e.g., when clearing ice). However, their design is less prone to damage from automatic car washes, as there are no frame joints for brushes to catch on.
